DR100 Walk/Run/Ride
September

Riders complete a journey in honor of the memory of Dr. Joseph Mirenda in a walk, run, or ride at this one-day event ending on the campus of James Madison University.

Dr. Mirenda's son, Nic, attends James Madison University located in Harrisonburg, Virginia. In August of 2009, Dr. Mirenda was cycling a 100 kilometer route from Wintergreen Resort to surprise his son at JMU. Tragically, Dr. Mirenda was killed before he reached his destination. Proceeds benefit expansion of bike and pedestrian lanes.
