The Third Downtown Poster 2012: $10
“Good Morning Harrisonburg” was created by local artist Don Denny and was selected as the winner of Design Downtown 2012. Don, a graduate of the VCU School of Design and graphic designer for Rosetta Stone in Harrisonburg, was inspired by the morning light that plays off the buildings of Harrisonburg’s historic Court Square. His design captures a visual style in tribute to the WPA poster program from the 1930s.
Don's design can also be seen as the label artwork for “Downtown Reviver,” Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance’s first downtown coffee. This custom coffee blend was developed by Cabin Creek Roasters in collaboration with HDR staff. The coffee’s name was selected through a community poll. Learn more about Downtown Reviver.
The Second Downtown Poster 2010: $5
The 2010 poster was created by Ryan Madden (JMU ’11). Ryan created this poster from a combination of watercolor and graphic design.
The First Downtown Poster 2009: $5
Artist Emily Street is a James Madison University senior graduating in 2009 with a BFA in Art with a concentration in Printmaking and a minor in French. She accepts commissioned work requests and can be reached at street.emily@gmail.com.

"Downtown Reviver" Coffee
Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance’s first downtown coffee is a collaboration of local artists, businesses, and the community. The coffee’s name was selected through a community poll and the label artwork, “Good Morning Harrisonburg,” was created by local artist Don Denny and was chosen as the winning entry of Design Downtown 2012, an annual community art contest. This custom coffee blend was developed by Cabin Creek Roasters in collaboration with HDR staff.
"Downtown Reviver" is a combination of 100% Arabica coffees grown in Brazil (Bird Friendly) and Indonesia (Fair Trade/Organic) and is fresh roasted by Cabin Creek Roasters. This medium-bodied/low-acidity blend lingers on the back of your tongue with a hint of berries, dark chocolate, and nuts. The stability and sweetness of this coffee makes for a rich taste with a smooth finish. Enjoy this unique blend while supporting Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance.
