Holiday Parade & Tree-Lighting Ceremony

The parade + tree lighting will go on as planned, but the carriage rides are cancelled.
The annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting ceremony spreads festive cheer throughout downtown Harrisonburg.
Join us for the festivities beginning at 5:00pm on Friday, December 6th:
- 5:00 - 6:30p.m.
Classic Carriage will offer carriage rides throughout downtown. They begin in front of the Massanutten Regional Library and will loop around downtown Harrisonburg, providing a unique view of the historic district. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children (ages 4-7). Children 3 and under are free.
- 7:30 p.m.
The parade begins at 7:30 pm at the corner of Grattan and Main St. and ends at the Rockingham County Office Building on Gay St. This year's theme is "Peace on Earth". For more information about the parade, click here.
- Following the Parade
Mayor Ted Bryd will host a tree lighting ceremony in Court Square, followed by a holiday concert performed by the JMU Marching Royal Dukes.
