Emily Winter

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Emily Winter is a double Duke, graduating from James Madison University with both a B.A. and M.A. in Communication Studies. With her previous role at JMU X-Labs, she partnered with several downtown businesses to develop and market engaging workshops and large-scale events.

During her tenure at HDR, Emily has streamlined and elevated our organizational branding, created our Meet Up series, formalized our internship program, launched our annual dining and shopping guides, and offers one-on-one marketing consultations with downtown businesses to help them up their game.

Among her work as Director of Marketing, Emily directs promotions and public relations campaigns for HDR and its events, offers marketing support for downtown businesses, and oversees the Downtown Harrisonburg Content & Marketing Internship program.
